POOL HEATER FUNCTION

Before seeking service for your heater based on pool heater function, here are a few things you can check:

Is the heater turned on?
Do you have sufficient fuel (propane or natural gas)?
Have you recently received a fuel delivery?
Check the water level in relation to the skimmer.
Is the skimmer weir (flapper) properly closed or stuck open?
Are there any error codes displayed on the heater?
If you have a spa, is the system in ‘spa mode’?
Make sure the line is properly vented after filling; improper venting can prevent the pool heater from igniting.

We just purchased a home in Costa Mesa with a "spool" (spa/pool). We've never owned a pool or a spa, so not only were we informed that the chemicals weren't right, but also we had no idea how to even turn the spool on. My biggest fear was calling someone to help with the spool, and they just modified the chemicals and left without explaining how to use the device. However, Ryan came over and walked through everything from beginning to end. It was great! Ryan is a pool wizard. We found him online and he was able to come to our house a locate the issue with why our pool wasn't working properly within minutes.
